Spring Equinox

How'd it all go? Massive suceeded in putting on two events on Saturday the 18th September... Earthdance was a nice warm afternoon with a mad game of "no rules" soccer. About 40 soccer mad nuts of all ages hit the pitch. There were lots of injuries, although no one got flown out by helicopter and I have no idea what the final score was.
Equinox was another story. We packed up from Earthdance about 3.30 as the weather was getting dodgy with the norwest swinging to the south and by the time we got to Kaituna Valley there were trees down over the road, power to the valley out and it was getting colder by the minute. The tent had snapped a couple of poles in the gust that brought down the trees, but was set up by the dedicated crew that missed Earthdance to ensure that the venue was ready for Equinox. Over 230 presales made us feel a bit easy about people turning up. There were even a few gate sales from mad ravers turning up in singlets and all warm in their lowered big exhaust CRXs. A wicked night, especially from 12 on as the weather cleared and the stars could be seen, as could the snow on the hills surrounding the venue.
