Winter Soulstice

There are a lot of good things to say about this party but here's something cool: You guys are so damn good at taking your rubbish with you, that after sorting out recycling from all the rubbish from the party, we were only left with 40kg of un-recyclable rubbish! That's about one rubbish bin full - and it only cost us 6 bucks to dump it! We reckon that's a pretty awesome effort and we want to extend everyone who came a big thank you from the crew. Cheers!

In other news, photos are up! Thanks for sending them in and if there are more out there, keep 'em coming.

One winter's night high up on the cliff tops a group of elves and gnomes discovered that under the moonlight they could conjure up the "rave gods" of old. So, with heor magic options they danced until the sun came up..

Mid Winter...

...a time to celebrate we say! This year Massive have again secured the gun emplacements on the cliff tops of Godley Head. After last year's sell out event and t-shirt weather we are expecting another night of fun and games.

Set in and around the WW2 bunkers, there will be four zones with Subtle Promotions running the Tech Dub Drum and Bass Tent, Oscillations running computerfunk and ambient zones and Massive taking care of the main zone.

The event is the eighth Winter Soulstice outdoor party that Massive Productions has organised. Starting in 1998 at Godley Head the party has now become one of the few remaining and longest running outdoor dance parties in Canterbury.

This venue would have to be one of the most spectacular in New Zealand, with the sunrise coming up over the Pacific Ocean. And you won’t get cold. We have an indoor heated café and a bonfire.

Tickets

Tickets are $30 and will be available from Hunters and Collectors on High Street and Static Records on Poplar Lane from Tuesday 6 June. Gate sales will be $40. We are limited to 400 people so get in early to avoid disappointment.

Godley Head

It will be a great party with you there. Please read the following to fully enjoy the party. We have to get a little serious here, so bear with us.

If you need directions, easiest way is head to Sumner, keep going through and up Evans Pass Rd. At the top turn left onto Summit Rd and continue to the end.

If you want to find a ride out there or give someone a lift, visit the forums and make it known!

Have a great night and stay for the sunrise.
