Winter Soulstice

Saturday 23 June 2007, Godley Head Reserve, Banks Peninsula
47 weeks, 1 day ago

A cold wind did little to dampen the spirits of the more than 600 people who enjoyed a night of beats under the stars at this sold-out Winter Soulstice. Thanks to everyone involved!

Below are the first of the photos and I know there are heaps more out there which we would love to see. Get in touch and we will tell you where to send them.

'Til next time.

Lost Property?

Better late than never right? ..We have 3 wallets, a set of keys and a digital camera still from the party, so if you lost anything call Brae on 0272139286 and describe what you lost.

For all those people that are contemplating coming to Winter Soulstice but are afraid of getting cold, we have good news! There are two large army tents which will provide both shelter and warmth. One is the Subtle Zone which has DJs playing in it and the other is the Warm up Zone previously known as the "Chillout zone". We also have a permit to have an open fire to keep you extra warm. We do recommend good waterproof footwear and warm clothing, better to have too many layers than not enough.

What better way to celebrate the seasons than with an all night dance party on beautiful cliff tops of Godley Head, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

After years of sold out events, complete with T-shirt weather and spectacular sunrises, Massive's seventh Winter Soulstice is coming at you. Gravity Cafe and Underground Coffee will feed the troops in warm cosy areas. Gather your crew and support the outdoor styles you know and love.

We must stress that this is a no alcohol event and that the area has cliffs and dangerous areas.

Limited tickets are only $30 from Hunters and Collectors on High St, Static Records on Poplar Lane, Underground Coffee, the CPSA and Formation at 844 Colombo st.

From an imported military style tent with the precise purpose of hosting renegade parties, this year's Winter Soulstice party the Subtle Zone will be hosted in an old skool Jamaican sound clash style similar to the soundsystem parties of the original Reggae producers.

It is this hardcore DIY ethic that has inspired Subtle to reinvent a modern renegade equivalent for the new generation of the underground headz. Warning: this is a dubstep special.

Below are some pics of the site we took a couple of weeks ago and also some from previous parties here. (It's ok to get excited now :)
