Callam has been playing songs for the last 10 years or so, during which time he has become one of this countries most experienced progressive/house DJs. He’s played at more partys and clubs than he can remember, and has DJ’d alongside some of the worlds best including Sasha, John Digweed, and Nick Warren to name a few. He plays a bit of a mix of different sounds that his mum describes as deep-funky-twisted-driving-electronic-techy-housey-kinda stuff.

He first started djing by using a belt driven turntable hooked up to a stereo in his bedroom, which he would use to beatmix his record into whatever was playing out of the stereo in the living room. After realising this technique was somewhat of a hinderance, he went out and bought some headphones, a mixer, another turntable, and another record, and spent the next 6 months upsetting his flatmates.

Nowadays he is well known for his ability to get records going at the same speed for long periods of time, as well as having the knack of picking songs that go together really well. It is this delicate combination of raw natural talent and precision skill, coupled with a propensity towards binge drinking, and mild deafness that mean he can’t get a job doing anything else.

Over the years he has played at a number of major events throughout the country including The Gathering, Destination, and Rhythm & Vines to name a few. As well as Djing, he has owned a nightclub, and a record store; and he regularly promotes events such as Unity as well as touring international DJs. It is his passion for music that drives him to do what he does, and his ear for music that makes him stand out as a DJ. His ability to create sets that flow meticulously, and his enthusiasm for DJing ensure that the dancefloor is guaranteed a good time.
