DJ Tobiaz aka Daniel Millar starting DJing in 2006, his debut was at Christchurch's Indie/Electro club night, The Mixtape Connection. After these monthly parties ended in December 2006 Tobiaz and a few friends started their own party, it was dubbed the The Nu Trend.

Tobiaz has played at a many parties in a very short space of time, including Nitrate and and Audiodreams partys. Daniel also co-hosts The Mixtape Sessions on RDU 98.5 FM with Dr Hitchcock as well as his own UK Hardcore show on White Elephant Radio.
